A new pharmacy medicine for erectile dysfunction

Treatments for erectile dysfunction (ED) first became available over the counter in 2018. Now, after 20 years as a prescription medicine tadalafil 10mg has been reclassified as a pharmacy medicine, and is available over the counter as Cialis® Together.

This training module is for pharmacists and the pharmacy team to explain how they can advise men on the appropriate use of Cialis Together (tadalafil 10mg).

Please note, this material is not intended to replace the Risk Minimisation Materials (RMMs) - Pharmacy Guide, Checklist, Checklist Quick Guide and Repeat Purchase Referral Card - which are designed to assist you in your assessment of a patient’s suitability for Cialis Together. The RMMs can be found here.

Objectives

  • Be familiar with the risk factors and health problems that can lead to erectile dysfunction
  • Understand how Cialis Together works and when to supply it
  • Know how to advise patients on the use of Cialis Together, including recognising contraindications and side effects

Product information and information on adverse event reporting are available at the end of the module.
